I have found it difficult to maintain a blog.  I’m just not really into journaling my thoughts – I seem to have to need to have an audience in mind.  So, I’m trying to recommit to the process and have decided to write this blog to my grandchildren…of which I now have one!  Having had two sons, two brothers, and five nephews (that’d be two generations of all boys), we know have a precious granddaughter – Olivia Grace.

So, about me…I am married to my highschool sweetheart…we have two adult sons and one daughter-in-law (and one daughter-in-law to be). My wife and I were teenage parents…our older son was born while we were in high school and our younger son was born while we were in college. I am blessed to have parents who love each other and are still married and am blessed to have in-laws who love each other and are still married.

I am a Christian who strives to walk in the Spirit daily.  I’m conservative by nature which does carryover to my political leanings.  I enjoy learning and am always in the middle of 3 or 4 books.  I love many different styles of music, and although I read music, I don’t really play any instruments. I have done quite a bit of singing over the years with various choirs/groups including two different a cappella mens groups.

Professionally I am a CPA. I am a tax partner with Blackburn, Childers & Steagall, PLC. In addition to the CPA firm, I am also involved with Trinity Valuation Consulting Group, PLC and perform valuations of business as well as providing litigation support and expert witness testimony.
